Sydneysiders from all walks of life are invited to follow the rainbow from the city’s hottest new retail and lifestyle precinct, Quay Quarter, to iconic neighbourhood, The Rocks, as a range of prominent Sydney locations band together to celebrate community, joy, live music and food.
The Big Gay Aussie Brekky - supported by City of Sydney and presented as part of Sydney WorldPride Amplified Program - will celebrate a range of talented musicians, vendors and artists from the LGBTQIA+ community, creating a wealth of inclusive, exciting and diverse activities for all to enjoy.
The iconic Quay Quarter Sydney precinct will come to life with a rich LGBTQIA+ performer program including DJ sets from DJ Tiny Dancer and DJ Nikki, and live performances from Briefs factory, Dyan Tai, Ally George, Malaika Mflame and more.
Celebrations will kick off with a special Pride-edition of Quay Quarter Lanes Markets running all day from 8 am - 2pm where all can enjoy a relaxed stroll as they sift through more than 40 market stalls, including classics like Berliner Donuts and Brooklyn Boys Bagels.
Quay Quarter Lanes, situated behind Customs House will also come to life with free art workshops, hosted by creative reuse art group, Reverse Garbage where locals can learn more about using recycled goods in creative ways to make unique, sustainable art. Quay Quarter’s hotspot for Mexican, mezcal and cocktails, Londres 126 will host a delicious drag show brunch inspired by Frida Kahlo’s infamous parties of yore, Viva La Frida.
Quay Quarter Lanes will keep the party going across a range of dining and wellness retailers, including the ever-popular Marrickville Pork Rolls, a limited edition Pride drink at Bubble Nini; a pride themed donut with gelato on top from Zini Gelateria and free hair styling & rainbow spray at The Men’s Grooming.
